Cultivating Curiosity into passion

Acton Academy North Miami Beach is a a place where children will learn to cultivate their curiosities into passion.

 We are reimagining and building the "single-room schoolhouse" for the 21st century. 

 At Acton, we guide learners to discover their unique calling while developing strong character. Our classrooms are made up of mixed-age groups allowing the children the ability to learn from each other, collaborate together and develop a sense of responsibility as they hold themselves and each other accountable. When conflicts arise, learners manage them independently through self-led “peace tables,” gaining real-world conflict resolution skills. 

Independence, creativity, and confidence grows as they engage with hands-on, real-world experiences through Socratic Guiding, ample play time with peers, and long blocks of independent and collaborative work time. 

 
As a school in its **founding year,** we are excited about starting small and growing with our learners.

  Our focus is on building a network of like-minded families who are looking for a more progressive form of education.  

Our first studio known as our Spark Studio is 

now enrolling learners ages 5-7 for the 2025-2026 school year 

and is rooted in Maria Montessori’s philosophy.  

Students will not only learn how to do, they will also develop the skills of learning how to learn and learning how to be!

As Our school grows we will offer more programs for older learners, reflecting the needs and desires of our community.
